The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday said that the February 25, 2023 general elections will not be held in 240 polling units across the country.
According to the electoral commission, this is because there are no registered voters in these affected polling units.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, stated this at a meeting with leaders of the various political parties held on Monday (today).
Yakubu expressed concern over rising attacks on party supporters, barely two weeks to the general elections.
