Galtier, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, chastised his team for conceding a “stupid” winning goal against Marseille that followed a Neymar error.
The Ligue 1 champions suffered a 2-1 defeat and were eliminated from the Cup of France.
From the penalty spot, Alexis Sanchez gave the home team the lead before Sergio Ramos headed PSG even in the last seconds of the first half.
However, a stunning effort from Ruslan Malinovskyi proved to be the winner.
Neymar tried to pull off a dummy from a simple throw-in inside his own half and Chancel Mbemba took the ball off him.
The ball eventually broke to Malinovskyi on the edge of the box and he rifled an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
“It was very open in the first half. Unfortunately, in the second half, we took a rather stupid goal on touch for us in our last 20 meters.
“From the moment Marseille scored that second goal and they put themselves in a low block with a lot of transition, that’s where we sinned a lot,” Galtier told reporters.
