Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has stated that the North should replace President Muhammadu Buhari and govern Nigeria for another four years.
Dogara stated that continuing to rule Nigeria after Buhari will ensure equality and justice for the North.
He emphasized that by governing Nigeria for another four years, the North would have equaled the South.
Dogara stated in Zonkwa, Kaduna State, that the South has dominated Nigeria for 14 years, while the North has ruled for ten.
Dogara said that the South produced former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, but the North produced Yar’Adua, who served just two years, and President Muhammadu Buhari, who served four.
According to Dogara: “And if we must say the truth, Jonathan is a Christian, Obasanjo is a Christian; Obasanjo ruled for eight years, and Jonathan ruled for six years.
“So, if we sum the two together, we, I said we, because I am a Christian, we have ruled this country for 14 years. Buhari has ruled for eight years and Yar’Adua ruled for two years, making a total of 10 years.
“So, we can only be just by allowing the Muslims have a balance of four years. Also, the two Christian Presidents are from the South, so the North has a balance of four years.”
