Hakim Ziyech’s attempted deal to Paris Saint-Germain on the final day of the January transfer window apparently fell through due to a technological error, according to reports.
Ziyech and PSG reached an agreement over personal terms regarding a loan transfer for the remainder of the season, but the deal abruptly fell through on Tuesday night.
Although it was anticipated that Chelsea and PSG would reach a deal, Ziyech’s transfer paperwork was not filed in a timely manner.
On deadline day, Ziyech was in Paris getting ready to be introduced as a PSG player, but the player unwillingly flew back to London and will continue the current campaign with Chelsea.
Reports in France had claimed the Blues sent the incorrect documentation three times.
However, according to The Telegraph, Chelsea are now claiming that a “technology glitch” was responsible for the failed move.
Ziyech was left ‘upset’ after the late drama, with the 29-year-old having been keen to leave Stamford Bridge in January.
