Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Sunday appointed Mr. Kazeem Akinleye as his Chief of Staff. Akinleye is a former local government chairman.
The governor also named Mr. Teslim Igbalaye as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), while Mr. Rashid Olawale was appointed governor’s spokesman.
The new SSG is former local government chairman and also erstwhile chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON).
While Olawale, the governor’s spokesman, is journalist and publisher of Sahel Standard online newspaper.
Iwo Group Congratulates Mallam Olawale Rasheed
An Iwo-based political group, the PDP Success Group, rejoices with Mallam Olawale Rasheed on his appointment as the Spokesman of the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The group which hailed the appointment of Mallam Olawale Rasheed as deserving in a statement issued on Sunday night, thanked Governor Adeleke for the choice of the Iwo-born politician as his mouthpiece.
“We received the announcement of Mallam Olawale Rasheed as the Spokesman of Governor Adeleke with wild excitement,” the statement noted, adding that “Mallam Olawale Rasheed is a distinguished professional in the media space and we share the overwhelming confidence that earned him this new role.”
Congratulating Mallam Olawale Rasheed on the new appointment, the PDP Success Group, says it believes the spokesman’s skills and experience are assuring that “he will do excellently well in this new role and play a constructive role in the Adeleke administration.

Osun State Chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated people of Osun on the swearing in of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the 6th Executive Governor of Osun State, calling on residents to enjoy the dawn of a new era.
The party also felicitated with Governor Ademola Adeleke on his swearing in as the Governor, calling the Number One Citizen of Osun state, ” a peoples’ Governor with deep interest of the state at heart.
“We rejoice with our Governor and we pray to God to strengthen him and grant him the deep wisdom to rightly lead Osun to greater height. We are proud of the accomplishment of our amiable Governor and we have no doubt that he will succeed in his dream of placing Osun on a global development map”, the party statement noted.
In a felicitation message signed by the State Caretaker Chairman of the party, Dr Akindele Adekunle, the party described the transition of power today as “manifestation of divine glory of God over human affairs”, declaring that ” today is the day the good Lord ordained to bring new, positive dimension to the people of Osun state.
“We of the PDP commend Osun People for staying strongly with Governor Adeleke not just during the July 16th election but through the post-election turbulence when the former Governor attempted to play “Akintola taku” with the electoral will of the people. The struggle to protect the electoral mandate of our people was tough but with God and Osun People, victory was attained.
“We therefore reassure the people of Osun state that the years of locus have passed and the dawn of a new era is here. His Excellency has rolled out extensive programme of governance to restore good governance, to ensure accountability and institute responsive leadership.
