Presidential candidate of Labour Party in Nigeria’s general election coming up in February 2023, Mr. Peter Obi, has replied Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo.
Obi, in an elevated intelligence, described the governor as his brother and admonished him to go round the state and roof any school he (Obi) didn’t roof whilst there as governor between 2006 and 2014.
Details of Obi’s reaction...
“Investments are spread. There’s need to spread your investments. When you spread your investments some would go up some would come down.
“The company is still there and the company is doing well. The company is still part of a global chain and an ongoing concern.
“I needed to explain this. Not because I am defending the comment made by my brother.
“My brother is my brother and he remains my brother. We are very close and I remain prayerful for him.
“For other things which I didn’t succeed, God has given him the opportunity to do then and succeed. So if there’s anything pending, he can finish.
“Governance is a continuum. You stop where you stop and others will continue. That’s the way it is even in America.
“I don’t look back. He is the governor of my state. I will always respect him. He is my senior brother. He is even more intelligent than me because he is a Professor and I’m a trader..
“So he knows more and will be able to do things better than I am doing. I have done my little own as a trader, now a Professor is there. He will do his own as a Professor.
“The schools I didn’t roof, he will roof them. That’s how government goes. Another person will come and do his own.”
