A support group of the Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, under the aegis of the City Boy Movement in collaboration with the National Coalition Group said they planned to embark on a one-million-man solidarity march to launch his campaign.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by Media Sub-Committee Secretary of the group, Shehu La’Shek Yahaya.

Themed ‘One-Million-Man March for Tinubu-Shettima Presidency: A walk for good governance, the march is slated for September 28 at 8.00 am.

The statement read, “Supporters of our candidates are expected to converge at the presidential campaign council office by 8.00am for prayers before we march to the Unity Fountain to flag off the campaign for Tinubu-Shettima.

“The ‘One-Million-Man’ March is organized to bring all APC and Tinubu-Shettima support groups across the country together for familiarisation and preparation for the forthcoming general elections.

“We believe that with the collective supports of all the groups, we will sail our competent candidature of Tinubu-Shettima to presidency come 2023,” it added.

In a related statement issued on same day, Chairman of APC National Coalition Group, Francis Shoga, disclosed that the proposed one-million-man march would harmonise all support groups for effective coordination ahead of the polls.

While assuring supporters of the party of adequate security and maximum fun, Shoga stated that the purpose of the march is to officially launch the presidential campaign of Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.

The one-million-man march would serve as an avenue to highlight the verifiable leadership traits of Tinubu-Shettima ahead of the 2023 election.

He said, “It promises to be eventful, exciting avenue for exercising the body and connecting with people, while also discussing the way forward.

“The organising communities of the march are working tirelessly to ensure a successful event, where all support groups are expected to mobilize their members in numbers to witness the colourful and carnival-like procession.”
