The power of the permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) would top discussion, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at a one-day seminar being organised by the Delta State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Asaba, the State capital.
The event with the theme; “The State of the nation: a call for political correctness” is part of the Association’s continuous participation in programmes and activities aimed at addressing the current socio-political and economic State of the Nigerian nation.
At the event, the State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) in the forth coming general elections, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is one of the dignitaries bilked to grace the one day event.
According to a statement made available to newsmen as signed by the Secretary, State CAN political strategy and mobilisation committee, the Revd. Prof. Oke Akokotu, the event which begins by 10:00 in the morning, would hold at Life and Power Christian Assembly, 14, Marian Babangida Way, Asaba, the State capital.
Akokotu in the statement, also added that the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and the senior political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Chief Funkekeme Solomon would be guests of honour at the event.
Other topical national issues which included; “The psychology of campaign promises and manifestoes in Nigeria, the role of Gospel Ministers in ensuring political correctness, the sanctity of the church in the political environment” would also feature at the event, the statement stressed.
Akokotu in the statement also, added that all blocks of the association should endeavour to attend the event as directed.
