The Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Professor Lilian Salami, has lauded students of the institution following the successful completion of their summer programme in Geneva, Switzerland.
The programme is under the University of Benin (UNIBEN) and the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) partnership, according to UNIBEN.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the University, in Benin City, it said the students participants have since returned to Nigeria.
The Vice Chancellor expressed joy that the students, who joined their counterparts from across the world, did the University proud and were recognised specifically for their brilliant performances.
Professor Salami said the success story of the UNIBEN/CERN partnership will not be complete without acknowledging the significant role played by the University’s Alumna and 1987 Law graduate, Mrs Faith Fookes.
She thanked Mrs Fookes and others who facilitated the programme, re-affirming her commitment to the training of globally competitive and relevant graduates.
