A former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie, has resigned her membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ativie, who also served as deputy speaker during the administration of Adams Oshiomhole, announced her resignation at a press briefing held at the NUJ Press Centre, in Benin City.
She attributed her move to the current unresolved crisis facing the party in her local government area, Uhunmwode, and the entire APC in Edo State.
A copy of the resignation letter read, “This is letter is to convey to you that I have officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress party with immediate effect.
“The reason for my resignation is attributed to the current unresolved crisis facing APC in Uhunmwode, Orhionmwon and entire APC party in Edo State.”
