Mr. Y. C. Maikyau has been sworn in as the new President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA.

metrowatchxtra understands that the development is following the expiration of the Olumide Akpata-led administration.

Unlike his predecessor, the new NBA President is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Maikyau was sworn-in on Friday as the 31st President of the NBA at the ongoing National Conference of the Association.

He won the last election held earlier in July this year with 38, 000 electoral votes to be elected the NBA President.

The swearing-in ceremony held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.

Speaking at the ceremony, Maikyau lauded his predecessor Akpata for the giant strides recorded at the NBA in the last two years.
