President Muhammadu Buhari and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu are currently meeting behind closed-door in Daura, Katsina state.
Also at the meeting is the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari. The meeting is coming barely 48 hours after Tinubu returned to the country from France.
metrowatchxtra gathered that the meeting is taking place at the private residence of President Buhari in Daura. The president is in his hometown to observe the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.
Although the agenda of the meeting is unknown as at the time of filing this report, it may, however, not be unconnected with chosing a running mate for Tinubu.
Reports has it Sunday afternoon that Tinubu is set to announce former Borno State Governor and his ally, Senator Kasim Shettima as running mate.
Earlier, the APC standard bearer was received in the state by Governor Masari at the Umaru Musa Yara’dua International airport.
