Nollywood star actress, Funke Akindele was on Wednesday unveiled as the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State for the 2023 elections.
Akindele emerged as the running mate to the PDP governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdulaziz Olajide Adediran, popularly known as ‘Jandor’, on Wednesday.
According to reports, Akindele, popularly called ‘Jenifa’, beat four other contestants to emerge winner.
metrowatchxtra gathered others who were earlier screened but lost to ‘Jenifa’ to include former governorship aspirant, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, former Lagos East senatorial candidate, Yeye Shobajo, former governorship aspirant, David Kolawole Vaughan known, and Engr. Teslim Balogun.
