The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal was on Saturday pronounced as the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Sokoto South in the 2023 general elections.
This came barely a week after the Sokoto state governor formally withdrew from the PDP Presidential primary election for former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, who later emerged the party’s flag bearer.
By this development, Governor Tambuwal is now seeking to represent seven local government areas in the National Assembly come 2023.
The local government areas are: Bodinga, Dange/Shuni, Kebbe, Shagari, Tambuwal, Tureta and Yabo local government areas.
