The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has lost another former Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Emeritus Professor Osayuki Godwin Oshodin.
He died at 71.
Public Relations Officer of the UNIBEN Alumni Association, Kevin Omokaro, confirmed the development on his Facebook page.
It was gathered that the University former administrator, who has been sick for some time, died early Sunday morning.
Born August 9, 1950, Oshodin was Vice Chancellor of UNIBEN from 2009 to 2014. He was a professor of health education.
His death came barely few months after the University lost its first female Vice Chancellor, Prof. Grace Alele-Williams.
Until his demise, Oshodin was married to Mrs Otasowie, immediate past Registrar of UNIBEN. He was at last year’s Convocation of the University unveiled as Emeritus Professor by the current VC, Prof. Lilian Salami.
