Global energy leader and OPEC Sec-Gen, Dr Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, arrived Cairo a while ago for one of the most influential North Africa/ Mediterranean’s oil and gas engagements – the Egypt Petroleum Show ( EGYPS).
The three-day EGYPS, starting Monday, is a yearly gathering of energy leaders, oil ministers, policy makers, academicians, industrialists, enegy journalists, businessmen, young people, exhibitors, climate change and energy transition experts, etc, to brainstorm on world energy challenges.
The event, which takes place at the imposing Egypt International Exhibition Centre, Cairo, is held under the patronage of President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, HE Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Barkindo, who is also the Chief Coordinator of the purposeful 23-Member Countries OPEC+, will participate at the plenary, among other roles at the EGYPS including holding bilateral meetings with various energy leaders on dynamics of the global oil market, cimate change, energy transition and energy poverty in Africa.
The OPEC Chief Scribe is expected in Nigeria later in the month for the Nigerian International Energy Summit ( NIES).
