Top Contender for the Office of Governor of Benue State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Paul Orhii, is saddened by the painful demise of the former Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice, Prof. Ignatius Ayua, SAN.

Late Professor Ayua, he said, led an eventful life, worthy of emulation.

Orhii also said: “In public service, he rose to the rank of Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of justice.

“At the bar, he rose to the coveted rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, while in Academics, he rose to the prestigious rank of Professor of law.”

Dr. Paul Orhii describes the late Prof. Ayua as one of the greatest legal luminaries that Benue has ever produced, stressing that his unfortunate demise is a colossal loss to the State and the entire federation.

He admonishes the entire Ayua family to be proud of the late icon and to take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled and impactful life.

“I pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of our dear Father and I also pray God Almighty to grant the entire Ayua family and the good people of Benue State the fortitude to bear this painful loss” , he prays.
