A very high itel alert has been issued for troops to enhance protection of residents of Barkin Ladi Plateau state, north central Nigeria against eminent slaughter by bandits who have laid ambush over them in the last 48 hours.
This credible intelligence has it that armed Fulanis and bandit elements have already laid several ambushes against mourners that would be going for the burial of two people killed during last night’s bandit attacks on Nghar village of Gashish District, Barkin Ladi council area of Plateau State.
The intelligence also indicates that there is a planned attack this morning during the burial of the two residents slaughtered at Nghar (Yelwa), Gashish District, Barkin Ladi council area of Plateau.
The alert issued today by Barrister Solomon Dalyop who is the
President of Berom Youths Moulder-Association
called for an urgent need for the deployment of security agents not only along Gashish-Barkin Ladi road, but also to the village affected by last night’s attack as well as neighboring villages within Gashish general area so as to avert the already planned attack, which he noted would be a renaissance of the replica of massacres of 23rd June, 2018 that claimed 86 lives in that particular village.
Meanwhile, the curfew issued by the state government from 6pm before dusk to dawn is still in force in the three affected council areas of Barkin Ladi, Mangu and Bokkos.
