Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham rejected her inclusion in the All Progressives Congress Lagos State Campaign Council for the 2027 elections.

Abraham said on Thursday through Instagram that she is not a member of any campaign council and has decided to stay out of politics.

She asked people to disregard reports that her name appeared in any campaign committee.

Her name had been included in the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate of the APC Lagos Campaign Council, a list released Thursday by Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre.

Other celebrities named alongside Abraham include actress Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, actor Jide Kosoko and Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere and Adewale Ayuba.

Toke Benson-Awoyinka heads the directorate with Kosoko as co-director and Badmus as deputy director.

Akeem Alimi, known as Ajala Jalingo, is secretary and Dare Olateju is assistant secretary.

Other entertainment figures listed include veteran actors Oga Bello, Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright and Fathia Balogun.

The Fuji music sector also has Malaika, Osupa and Small Doctor represented.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu chairs the broader Lagos APC Campaign Council with Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as deputy chairman.

The council is scheduled to be inaugurated Friday at the APC Secretariat in Ikeja.
