Popular rights activist and Peter Obi associate, Comrade Precious Oruche, popularly known as Mama Pee, has reacted to a viral video accusing her of blasphemy against Jesus Christ, insisting that the footage was edited and taken out of context to portray her in a negative light.
In a video seen on Monday, Mama Pee acknowledged the controversy surrounding the footage and said she would be pulling back from activities ahead of the 2027 elections, citing what she described as the desperation of those behind the alleged editing.
Despite the development, she reaffirmed her support for Peter Obi, the NDC’s presidential candidate, stressing that her decision to step back from election-related activities would not affect her commitment to the former Anambra State governor.
Her words: “I said Peter Obi is the most popular politician in Nigeria, and I said that even if Jesus comes to contest an election in Nigeria without introducing himself properly, Peter Obi may win.
“They left out the full conversation and focused only on the part where I mentioned Jesus.
“You people will cry. I am your nemesis.
“At this point, I think they are trying to mock the name of Jesus, but we won’t let them.”
