Terrorists attacked residents of Jiƙamshi town in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State this evening, just minutes before iftar.
The raid lasted nearly two hours, leaving one person dead, several others injured, and many valuables looted.
The details of the attack were disclosed by journalist and security expert, Bakstine, on X, who said the armed bandits opened fire in the town, forcing residents to flee for safety.
Local sources indicate the attackers are still active in nearby communities and have not yet withdrawn.
The community mourns the victim and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured.
Many are also questioning what happened to the peace deal Musawa LGA stakeholders reached with the bandits just weeks before Ramadan, which was meant to ensure safety during the holy month.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement, and residents remain on high alert as the bandits continue to roam the area.
