Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, has found leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu guilty of all seven terrorism count charge preferred against him by the federal government.
They are:
Count 1: Act of terrorism against FRN (Federal Government of Nigeria) by making broadcast, threatening that people will die and the world will be at a standstill.
Count 2: Threats enforcing illegal sit-at-home order.
Count 3: Belonging to a proscribed organization, IPOB.
Count 4 and 5: Inciting the killing of security personnel during EndSARS.
Count 6: Making a broadcast in Nigeria against the federal government where he ordered members of IPOB to manufacture Bombs and other explosives.
Count 7: Agitation for illegal self-determination.
“The prosecution has successfully established the seven charges against the defendant (Kanu) beyond a reasonable doubt. Consequently, he is convicted on all seven counts,” Justice Omotosho held.
