The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on International Development Partners, Hon. Collins Edomaruse, has congratulated Councilor-elect for Igbanke East, Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Lucky Isibor, on his victory in the just-concluded local government council by-election.
Hon. Edomaruse also extended his congratulations to all other elected councilors across the affected wards in Orhionmwon and Edo State at large.
In his words: “This victory is not just about individuals, but a clear testament to the good works of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Governor of Edo State, and the wide acceptance of the progressive policies and programs of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The people have spoken with one voice in reaffirming their confidence in our great party.”
He expressed appreciation to party leaders, supporters, and the electorate for their commitment and turnout during Saturday’s poll.
“I sincerely thank our leaders, party faithful, and the people who came out en masse to vote for our councilorship candidates across the state. Their participation is proof that democracy remains alive and thriving under the APC.”
The Special Adviser further commended the progressive family in Igbanke East, Orhionmwon, and across Edo State for securing yet another hard-earned victory.
“This triumph has further swelled the ranks of our great party and strengthened our resolve to deliver dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.”
Hon. Edomaruse urged the newly elected councilors to see their mandate as a call to service, and to always place the welfare of the people above personal interest.
“You have been entrusted with the hopes of your wards. I urge you to uphold the ideals and values of the APC, work selflessly for your people, and justify the confidence reposed in you by ensuring good governance at the grassroots level.”
He wished them a successful and impactful tenure.
