A Non-Profit Organization, the Spirit of Edo Foundation, has congratulated Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor on her appointment as the Director-General of the Edo State Diaspora Agency (ESDA) by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
In a statement signed by its Founder, Comrade Harrison Ogiemwanre, the foundation lauded the new ESDA DG as a “distinguished professional, a visionary leader, and a true daughter of Edo State whose unwavering commitment to excellence and humanitarian service has been evident in her numerous contributions to society.”
Ogiemwanre highlighted her impressive credentials as a United Kingdom-trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, a Medical Simulator Expert, a prolific writer, and an internationally recognized goodwill ambassador. He commended her leadership as the lead of the Edo Diaspora Working Group and the Edo State Focus Group Worldwide, as well as her role as a member of the Steering Committee for the establishment of ESDA.
“Her pioneering efforts in diaspora engagement have demonstrated her dedication to the progress of Edo people across the globe. It is therefore not surprising that she has been entrusted with this important responsibility,” the statement read.
Expressing confidence in her ability to deliver, the foundation affirmed that Ogboro-Okor’s “wealth of experience, strong leadership skills, and deep-rooted passion for the Edo people will translate into impactful policies and initiatives that will strengthen the bond between Edo indigenes at home and abroad.”
The Spirit of Edo Foundation, therefore, pledged total support to the new Edo State Diaspora Agency’s Director-General and wished her a successful tenure.
“Once again, congratulations, Dr. Ogboro-Okor. May your tenure be marked by remarkable achievements for our beloved Edo State,” the statement concluded.
