Reverend Theophilus Olaolorun, the Presiding Shepherd of the Shalom Baptist Church, Akowonjo, Lagos State, on Sunday said that  2025 would be a year of restoration for Nigeria.

Olaolorun said this at the  Annual King’s Banquet of the church.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the banquet, attended by members of the  branches of the church, was a tradition of the church to herald Christmas.

The 2024 banquet is the 10th edition.

It held at the church’s headquarters, Akowonjo.

It featured a praise and worship session, feast, orientation for the youth, and stocktaking.

Olaolorun said that Nigeria would triumph over its various challenges and be on the path of revival as from 2025.

The cleric said that the church continued to expand in the number  of its members, branches and missionary works in spite of challenges in 2024.

According to him, the church has prayed for Nigeria ahead of 2025, for total restoration.

“The prayer has been answered in the spirit realm. Its confirmation in the physical will be seen starting from January. The advent of Jesus Christ is a message of hope, restoration and accomplishment.

“As a people, we should be hopeful in the leadership of the country as there are indications of a turnaround of the nation’s fortunes beginning from 2025 which has been declared a year of restoration.

“We owe our leaders prayer for God to give them wisdom to remain on track and lead us to the desired destinations.

“Christ is the reason for the season. The banquet is to stir people to be in good frame of mind to celebrate Christmas and thank God for sparing our lives,” he said.

The cleric said that the primary reasons for the annual gathering was to draw  youths, teenagers and new members closer to God.
