The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Sam Amadi, has said that the Nigerian government’s unwillingness to end the continuing nationwide protest has caused massive damage.

In a post on his X Twitter on Friday, Amadi said that the government has three weeks to end the protest by communicating effectively and engaging with citizens respectfully.

The former Executive Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, said the government instead resorted to mobilizing thugs and paying people to speak against the organizers of the protest.

“Government had three weeks to abort this protest through good communication and respectful engagement with citizens.

“But it resorted to mobilizing thugs and paying people to speak against so-called organizers. Now government failure has caused massive damage,” Amadi posted on X.
