Netflix co-founder, Reed Hastings, has urged President Joe Biden to step down as the Democratic Party’s nominee for the U.S. presidential election.

In an interview with New York Times, Hastings stated that Biden needs to step aside to allow a “vigorous” Democratic leader to beat the Republican Party’s candidate, Donald Trump.

The Netflix boss, who is one of the biggest Democratic donors, explained that this is important to keep the party “safe and prosperous.”

He said, “Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous.”

On November 5, Biden would run against Donald Trump of the Republican Party on the platform of the Democratic Party in what would be America’s first rematch election in almost 70 years.
