Celine Dion, a Canadian singer, has declared she would not allow her Stiff Person Syndrome struggle to prevent her from singing again.
In an interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show, the 56-year-old singer pledged to continue live concerts even if it meant crawling to the stage and talking with her hands.
“I’m going to go back on stage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she vowed.
Dion said that she suffered from Stiff Person Syndrome for 17 years before going public.
The ill singer, who first disclosed her diagnosis in 2022, admitted she had been suffering symptoms since 2008.
She reportedly remarked that her Stiff Person Syndrome makes her feel like she is “being strangled.”
Dion also stated that she frequently suffers from cramping and has fractured many ribs.
