President Bola Tinubu will unveil the world’s largest painting portrait on a canvas to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Democracy in the country.

Speaking in an interview with Arise News on Wednesday morning, the coordinator of the painting, Opeyemi Alaba, said the president would unveil the painting today at Eagles Square, Abuja.

He described the painting as a message of hope for Nigerians and the African continent.

Alaba, who refused to disclose the theme of the painting, revealed that it was created by 37 different painters representing the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

He also disclosed that the inspiration for the portrait was from portraits of former United States President Barack Obama and Queen Elizabeth.

The President had earlier delivered the 2024 Democracy Day speech to the nation, addressing a variety of issues affecting the country.

Tinubu, who pledged to implement democracy as Nigerians’ way of life, urged Nigerians not to be wary and to be hopeful for a better future.
