Zubaida Umar has been named Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The presidential spokeswoman, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed this in a statement on Friday.
The President pushed the newly appointed DG to transform the organization into a proactive, performance-driven emergency response service.
Mrs. Umar is a member of both the Institute of Credit Administration and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
She is certified by ACCA in Digital & Sustainability Financing and Public Financial Management.
