Following Friday’s Champions League quarter-final draw, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola referred to Real Madrid as a ‘great’ club.
Nobody can refute it, according to Guardiola, who also claims that the La Liga leaders have a lot of control over things because of their Champions League experience.
Manchester City and Real Madrid will meet in the final eight of this season’s Champions League next month.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Man City’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Newcastle United on Saturday, Guardiola said:
“Facing Real Madrid is always a tough challenge, nobody can deny it. They are an exceptional club, and in this competition can control many things with the experience they have had in the past.
“We have made steps in the last few years but it could be so difficult.
