Edo State Deputy Governor and candidate of the PDP in the 2024 governorship election, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, Thursday joined other Christian faithful for the service of songs of Late Deaconess Patience Olayemi at the Christ Embassy Loveworld City, KM 12 Benin-Sapele road, Obe.
Late Deaconess Patience Olayemi, who passed on at the age of 89, is the mother to Pastor Moses Olayemi, Zonal Pastor, Christ Embassy, Benin Zone 1.
Speaking at the Church premises, the Deputy Governor described the deceased as a quintessential mother and Godly-woman, who dedicated the greater part of her life to the service of her Creator, community and humanity at large.
According to Comrade Shaibu, “Mama was a role-model of many positive parts who poured out her heart, moulding and impacting lives, particularly the womenfolk”.
He, however, admonished the bereaved family, particularly Pastor Moses Olayemi, to imbibe her good virtues and make them living memories for her eternal remembrance.
Earlier, Shaibu, who was declared winner of the Edo PDP primaries held today, in his acceptance speech, dedicated the victory to God Almighty, his supporters and the good people of Edo State.
