In a triumphant moment for Nigerian football, Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala emerged as the 2023 CAF Men’s and Women’s Footballers of the Year, respectively.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) 2023 Awards Gala was held yesterday, Monday, December 11, 2023, in Marrakech, Morocco.

 

The accolades, a testament to their outstanding performances, have sparked jubilation within Nigeria’s football community.

Victor James Osimhen, born on 29 December 1998, has solidified his status as one of Africa’s premier strikers. Currently showcasing his prowess with Serie A club Napoli and the Nigeria national team, Osimhen is renowned for his elite finishing, remarkable pace, strength, and athleticism.
