Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has denied rumors that he will resume his presidential campaign in 2027, claiming that he is unable to run against President Bola Tinubu because he hates betrayal.

Wike stated that he continued to support the Tinubu government and recalled how, together with five other governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his never-ending quest for justice led him to form the G5, which was formed to advocate for the transfer of power to the nation’s southern regions.

In a Friday interview in Abuja, the minister said that moral excellence should never be given up for political gain.

He said, “Tinubu made me the FCT minister and I won’t allow anybody to crumble our political structure. No!

“Tinubu made me minister; people don’t understand; I have character. What will happen in 2027? I stood and I said I was not going to support injustice. I was threatened that they would do me this and that. They tried many options, including using Major Generals.”
