The Ondo State Police Command said on Friday that it has launched an investigation into the death of Mrs. Iyanuoluwa Adamolekun, 62, who was reportedly killed in her room.
The event occurred on Thursday in the Agbaluku region of Arigidi Akoko in Ondo State’s Akoko North-West Local Government region.
According to a source, the woman’s lifeless body was discovered in a pool of blood in her home by her granddaughter, who subsequently raised the alarm, calling the attention of the neighbors to the incident.
At the time of writing this report, the cause of death was unknown
Suspicions of murder were raised because the deceased was discovered in a pool of her blood.
It was gathered that the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary.
The state police public relations officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, said the command had begun an investigation into the matter.
