Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter is being considered a top candidate to replace Erik ten Hag if he leaves Manchester United, the UK Sun reports.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has a lot of respect for Potter, and if he completes his partial takeover at Old Trafford, the owner of Ineos will be trying to recruit him.

Napoli, though, may present a challenge to the Red Devils for Potter.

The 48-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by the Blues in April after only seven months.

Potter won only 12 of his 31 matches in charge of Chelsea, with the team going on to finish 12th in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, Potter still has a good reputation thanks to his impressive work at Brighton.

He is also believed to be waiting for an offer from a Champions League club.
