The Lagos Waste Management Authority, on Tuesday, re-opened the Oyingbo and Alamutu markets after they were closed due to environmental infractions.

This was disclosed in a post on the official Facebook account of LAWMA on Tuesday.

The caption read, “We will continue to monitor markets in the state to ensure that business transactions are carried out in a clean and healthy environment.”

In the photos shared by LAWMA, traders were seen jubilating as the markets were reopened.

The PUNCH reports that the Oyingbo market was sealed in September due to its unhygienic conditions as a result of indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
