Victor Osimhen of the Super Eagles has been nominated for the Best FIFA Player of the Year award in 2023.
In the men’s category, the Nigerian sensation was nominated with Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Kylian Mbappe.
The winner of the award will be decided by votes from an international jury comprising national team captains and coaches, journalists, and fans from all over the world. The winner will be announced at the FIFA The Best Awards ceremony on January 17, 2024.
Metrowatch earlier reported that Osimhen was nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’Or award last week. The award is one of the most prestigious individual awards in football.
