The Round of 16 match between England’s Super Falcons and Nigeria’s Super Falcons is expected to be “very tough,” according to England attacker Lauren James.
After James helped England defeat China 6-1 in their last Group D matchup on Tuesday, she talked during her post-game interview.
Nigeria will now be the opponent for Sarina Wiegman’s team on August 7 in Brisbane, and James anticipates a challenging contest.
Speaking about the game, the Chelsea star told ITV, “Nigeria is going to be very tough, to be fair every team has been tough, even watching the other games.
“Teams are catching up with each other and I know that will be another very difficult game.”
