On July 31, 2023, at 7 p.m., President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a live broadcast speech to the country.
All television stations, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets were asked to connect to the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria network services for the broadcast in a statement from the president’s spokesperson, Dele Alake.
Speaking recently while receiving All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leaders from across the country, Tinubu said he feels the pains of citizens and assured them that the hardships of the moment will give way to a more “prosperous, equitable and inclusive economy”.
“I can assure you that I understand the pains you are going through. It is not easy to get out of the monster of over 40 years called fuel subsidy,” he said.
