Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of Napoli, has indicated that only Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain, can afford their top player, Victor Osimhen, this summer.
According to reports, numerous European teams are interested in acquiring the 24-year-old talismanic striker, who scored 26 goals in 32 appearances last season across all competitions.
Osimhen is worth €120 million, according to Transfermarkt.
De Laurentiis felt PSG had the ability to activate the striker’s release clause.
He claims that Nasser Al Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, intends to make a €200 million deal for Osimhen.
“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain,” he told Mediaset.
“If Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200m… we wait and we see what happens.”
Napoli president, however, said he hopes to keep Osimhen at the club.
