A Nigerian man, Tobi Kufeji has commenced a 200 hours singing marathon in an attempt to break Guinness World Records (GWR) for longest singing ever.

The longest singing marathon record is currently held by Sunil Waghmare, an Indian. He set the record of 105 hours in 2012.

Taking to social media to announce that GWR had accepted his application, Kufeji solicited for support from Nigerians as he embarks on the journey.

He said, “Just like David in the Bible who testified of defeating a lion and bear in the wilderness to convince King Saul of being able to defeat Goliath, I have severally broken these records in my closet fellowshipping with God.”

Kufeji who revealed that he had just finished a 5-day marathon fitness test to break the current record of 105 hours, said he was very convinced that he will break the records, adding, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

He added, ”This achievement will bring about an outstanding success and fortune in my music ministry and career and great honour and glory to Nigeria and Africa to the glory of God. And I will in return give massively back to the society.”

Kufeji said his singing marathon attempt will be titled: ‘PRAISEWORSHIP-A-THON’, doing amazingly incredible global exploits through Praise and Worship to God.
