Mason Mount, the new midfielder for Manchester United, has explained why he left Chelsea for Old Trafford.
Following the completion of a £60 million transaction between the two Premier League teams, Mount was formally introduced as a United player on Wednesday.
This summer’s first significant signing for Erik ten Hag is the England international.
In an interview with United’s official website, Mount spoke about leaving his boyhood club to sign for their rivals.
“I’m very excited to work under Erik ten Hag.
“It’s never easy leaving the club where you grew up, but Man Utd will provide an exciting new challenge for the next phase of my career.
“I can’t wait to be part of this group’s drive to win major trophies,” Mount said.
