The Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the dissolution of the state’s board of all commissions, parastatals and agencies.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, in Asaba.
He directed the chief executive officers (CEOs) of the affected organisations to hand over to administrative heads in their respective offices.
But the state government, however, exempted some organisations from the dissolution.
They include the Civil Service Commission; Judicial Service Commission; Delta State Independent Electoral Commission; House of Assembly Service Commission; and Local Government Service Commission.
Others are the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC); governing councils of educational institutions and the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue.
