The Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA), on Tuesday, elected a new Speaker and Deputy Speaker to lead the state parliament for the next legislative dispensation.
This followed the dissolution of the 9th Assembly and proclamation of the 10th parliament by the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
While Mudashiru Obasa (Agege constituency 1) was returned as speaker for a third term unopposed, Princess Lasbat Mojisola Meranda (Apapa constituency I), emerged as Deputy Speaker.
Others are: Majority Leader, Noheem Adams (Eti-Osa 1); Deputy Majority Leader, Damola Kasunmu (Ikeja 02); Chief Whip, Mojeed Fatai (Ibeju Lekki 1) and Deputy Chief Whip, Setonji David (Badagry 02).
