The Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, on Saturday, emerged as the new Chairman of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.
Mohammed, a second-term governor, was chosen by his party during the stakeholders retreat for elected PDP Governors and members-elect of the National Assembly held in the Bauchi State Government House.
He takes over from the immediate-past Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, who served out his tenure as the PDP Governors’ Forum chairman upon the conclusion of his second term as Sokoto governor.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Forum.
