Shehu Sani, a former senator, criticized Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for halting the state’s social, educational, and economic activities due to the arrival of President-elect Bola Tinubu.

It’s a sign of pleading for favor and accommodation, according to Sani.

On Wednesday, he published a message on his verified Twitter account.

Remember that Wike had proclaimed May 3rd a public holiday in anticipation of Tinubu’s two-day visit to the state?

While in the State, Tinubu is also anticipated to formally launch a few initiatives.

Social critic Sani, however, claimed that Wike’s decision to halt business operations due to Tinubu’s visit was a sign of his hunger for a favor.

He wrote, “Commissioning a project is a mark of a great achievement. Kudos. But grounding the economic, social and educational activities of the state for that purpose is a mark of desperation for favour and accommodation by a lickspittle. Tinubu can say no to that or else it becomes the norm.”
