An eight-story building on Banana Island in Lagos State’s Ikoyi district has collapsed.
Witnesses recognized the structure as the currently under construction Joe Faraday site.
The building collapsed on Wednesday night when concreting was being done on one of the levels, according to a report from Dailypost.
The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, issued a brief statement indicating that personnel are stuck within the facility.
NEMA authorities stated that they are mobilizing a rapid response team to rescue stranded persons.
