Mr Eazi becomes first Nigerian to win Latin Grammy, receives four certificates

Oluwatosin Ajibade, a popular Nigerian singer and record executive better known by his stage name Mr. Eazi, has become the first Nigerian musician to win a Latin Grammy after garnering nominations in four categories.

His work on the albums by Bad Bunny and J Balvin has earned him nominations for the 21st annual Latin Grammy Awards.

The song Arcoris from J Balvin’s album “Colores,” which won the category for “Best Urban” album, and Oasis from the J Balvin x Bad Bunny album, which also won in the same category, both had Mr. Eazi as a featured artist.

The singer’s contributions to “Oasis” and “Colores” received high praise for their unique treatment of Latin music and genre-bending sounds.

The featured songs, “Acoiris” and “COMO UN BEBÉ,” have had over 198 and 54 million listens on Spotify, respectively, and have contributed to giving the projects a new perspective.

Mr. Eazi’s success in the Latin music industry is a tribute to his abilities and dedication to dismantling stereotypes by forging a global sound.
