Nasarawa polls: APC National Chairman, Adamu Fails to Deliver, Loses Unit to PDP

National chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, on Saturday lost his polling unit to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections in Nasarawa.

The PDP governorship candidate, David Umbugadu, won in Adamu’s GRA A1-PB polling unit in Angwarimi Ward, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Umbugadu polled 159 votes to defeat Governor Abdullahi Sule of the APC who garnered 129 votes.

Recall that Adamu had also lost his unit to Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) during the February 25 presidential election.
